How Do the Ticket Types Work?
At Talk and Tease Comedy Cabaret, seating is pre-allocated in the cabaret style: independent tables according to your own group. Over many years and countless shows, we have refined our seating decorum into a sophisticated art...
Your table is assigned according to a) your ticket type and b) the order in which you booked. The earlier you book, the better seats you will receive.
Tickets are prioritised in the following way:
VIP Front: 3 courses with seats closest to the stage or runway
These tickets will always and always be on low tables and dining chairs and the best seating by the measure of being closest to the stage. Directly around the stage or runway, they are essentially the "front row". These tickets are available to a maximum group size of 6 ppl. Our room is intimate, and our stage is small. These tickets are popular with groups of 2- 4 people.
Standard Dinner & Show: 2 courses and best available seats.
Seating with this ticket will be highly affected by the time of booking. Earlier bookings will get priority over later bookings. These might be right up the front on low tables and dining chairs, or they may be on high tables and barstools with an excellent or fair view of the stage--depending on the size of the crowd and how many have booked before you. If you have special seating needs, such as if you are pregnant or on crutches, please book in advance and/or let us know at the time of booking. This will help us to allocate you the most fitting seats possible.
Dinner & Drinks: 2 courses with unlimited drinks via table service
Seating with these tickets may vary somewhat depending on the time of booking. They enjoy frequent table service and are a popular choice for larger groups. Due to these practical considerations, they are usually seated a little further back from the stage so they can be attended to by our service staff easily and regularly. This usually comes with low tables However, larger groups may have a mixture of low and high tables to maximise visibility. Dinner & Drinks tickets are essentially a beverage package, thus, all people at the table need to be on this ticket type for unlimited drinks. Drinks included are from our house selection of beer, wine, sparkling, cider and spirits.
Dinner Show Obstructed View; 2 courses with low seating availability
These tickets are released when our room is approaching capacity and the better seats have been allocated. Ticket holders can expect a busy room and a likelihood of being seated on high tables and bar stools. The view may be fine or even great for most people; however, at your table, at least one person will likely have a view of the stage somewhat compromised by a pole or curtain. This ticket is a common choice when larger group bookings need to add extra guests to an existing booking in a near sold-out show.
Show Only- No food included, and an obstructed view
Only a very limited number of these tickets are released for each show. They are given the lowest priority in our seating allocation as the best seating is reserved for those who commit to our full dinner-show experience. Even last-minute Dinner & Show tickets will be prioritised over Show Only tickets booked in advance. Show Only tickets are most likely to be seated on high tables and bar stools, often in the wings with a side view of the stage. The level of view obstruction also depends, ranging from no view obstruction at all, to some guests having parts of the stage obscured by a pole pr curtain. However, on quieter nights, Show Only tickets can receive excellent seats! So feel free to roll the dice. With the right attitude (and a little stool shuffling) you will still have a blast! Food is available to order separately on the night.
Carer's ticket- 1 x Dinner & Show plus a NSW registered carer
We offer a complimentary ticket for carers on Fridays or Sundays. Simply book 1 x dinner show ticket and include the NSW Registered Carer's Card number in the notes field in the cart process. This will allow us to know that your booking requires an extra seat for the carer. It is fine to book more than one dinner show ticket if other friends or family will also be coming along! The only restrictions are that it must be for a Friday or Sunday and a Standard Dinner & Show Ticket. Please inform us in advance by adding a note to your booking if extra mobility assistance or special seating is required, for instance, if any person will be attending in a wheelchair.
